Five objects consisting of plaster casts of female torsos are placed on circular wooden mobile platforms. Monitors showing recordings of the artist’s performances are installed in place of the heads. In these works, the artist combines older projects with newer ones. In the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, she created casts of the torsos of women from her entire direct bloodline—her mother, herself, her daughter, her aunt and her sister. The torsos are complemented by monitors displaying videos of her performances. These objects illustrate the typical methods of Lenka Klodová, situated on the border between sculpture, exposed corporeality, performativity and technology. They also carry a more personal and intimate dimension of hypothetical communication with family. The individual family participants—represented by the plaster casts of their naked torsos—are brought together into a unified artistic installation.
