ProtimluvFest is an international literary festival which features mainly literature of the Visegrad countries and their contemporary artists. Both the main theme of each year‘s programme and the readings and interactive discussions and sessions afterwards aim to enhance the common V4 identity and heritage. ProtimluvFest takes place annually in Ostrava in mid-October.
This year, the main themes will be dance in all its forms, the contemporary Hungarian, Slovak, Czech and Polish poetry and prose, Visegrad 4 literature, a Czech-Russian evening, and the young literary scene of Ostrava.
16.00 Jakub Żulczyk (PL): Oslněni světlem
The Warsaw drug underground in close contact with the higher class, whom the capable and determined drug dealer Jacek approaches with extraordinary ease. An exceptional meeting with a Polish writer, author of bestsellers and screenwriter of a successful television series.

17.00 Lenka Kuhar Daňhelová (CZ): What immortality? (Jaká nesmrtelnost?)
The poet Simona Racková (CZ), the author of the Dance collection, will perform as a guest. Accompanying concert of Marie Puttnerová (vocals), Martin Novák (vocals, electric guitar) and Petr Uvíra (electric guitar).
19.00 Igor Pomerancev (RU): Náš čas vypršel
The book by the Russian poet and dissident will be presented by the translator Jana Kitzlerová. Presented by Jiří Macháček.
20.00 Mária Modrovich (SK)
An interview with a cult member – the book by Maria Modrovich will be presented and discussed by the author and Libor Magdoň, a literary scholar.
21.00 Petr Nikl (CZ): Hudebníček
A performace of a well-known artist, musician and poet. The author will read and sing texts from a forthcoming book of the Meander publishing house, which the author is co-creating with Miroslav Černý and which will include a music CD.
