Our Society of Friends has a tradition reaching back more than a century, following in the footsteps of the Ostrava Friends of Art Club (1912) and the House of Art Society (1924). The Society’s aim is to support and promote art, artists and the collections of the Gallery throughout the Czech Republic and abroad. Anybody can become a friend of the Gallery.
Every year before Christmas, we hold an evening meeting for members of the Society of Friends, combined with a guided tour of exhibitions and a creative workshop. For families with children, we offer a creative workshop on a Saturday in summer, held in the gardens of the House of Art.
The Gallery of Fine Arts in Ostrava is funded by the Moravian-Silesian Region.

Patron 1 000 CZK
• valid for 2 adults + children
• Unlimited access to exhibitions and commented tours and creative workshops at the House of Art

• 20% discount on one catalogue published by the Gallery in the relevant calendar year
• 10% discount on refreshments at our café
You can apply and pay for membership online via the Gallery’s website, or in person at the House of Art (Jurečkova 9, 702 00 Ostrava). After receiving your payment we will issue a membership card for you. You can collect your membership card at the cash desk in the House of Art on your next visit. Current Friends can renew their membership automatically simply by paying the annual fee for the calendar year.
