The sculptor Zbyněk Sekal (1923–1998) is an enchanting figure in Czech art of the 20th century. The prepared monograph presents him as a creator of sculptures, objects (boxes), wall assemblages (folded paintings), drawings, collages, photographs and book graphics. The rich pictorial selection includes works from all periods and areas of the author's creative activity. The book is conceived as a montage of texts focused on the analysis of a work with passages from Sekal's diaries from a long period from the mid-1950s to the end of life. The monograph includes an overview of exhibitions, a bibliography and a complete translation of the text into English. The book is published on the occasion of extensive exhibitions by Zbyněk Sekal in the Museum of Art in Olomouc and in Aleš's South Bohemian Gallery in Hluboká nad Vltavou.
